A blacklight poster is printed with inks which fluoresce under blacklight. The inks contain phosphors which cause them to glow when exposed to the ultraviolet light emitted from black light bulbs.

Originating from the psychedelic 60s and 70s blacklights have seen a huge resurgence in the last couple of years and blacklights bulbs are now readily available through all good lighting and diy shops. Great for partys and dens.

THIS IS NON-FLOCKED WHICH MEANS IT IS NOT VELVET IT IS PAPER.

The last dinosaurs became extinct, or died out, about 65.5 million years ago. Fossils of dinosaurs were first discovered in the early 1800s. Fossils are remains or impressions of a plant or animal that have been preserved in rock. By studying these fossils, scientists know that dinosaurs were the ancient cousins of today’s crocodiles, snakes, and lizards. Scientists also believe that today’s birds descended from dinosaurs. A carnivore is an animal that only eats the flesh of another animal. Carnivores need to eat lots of meat to survive and to get this meat they need to be good hunters. Below you will find some of the methods that carnivores used to catch their prey:

Chase their prey and tear it apart
Eat dead carcasses, also known as scavenging
Ambush their prey using their camouflage
Attack their prey in packs to bring it down
Cannibalism

There are two main types of carnivorous dinosaurs: Carnosaurs: These are most of the big predators and Coelurosaurs: These are the smaller predators. Recent revision has also revealed that the T-Rex is a Coelurosaur. Carnivore diets were very rich in nutrients from the flesh they ate, and they could easily go for weeks without food, unlike herbivores that needed to eat constantly. SOURCE: Dinosaur Wiki

Smithsonian Dinosaurs Herbivores Poster

A herbivore is an animal that only feeds on plants. They are often prey for carnivores and omnivores. To counter this they have adapted various ways of either defending themselves or escaping from the predator. These methods are listed below.

Runaway from the attacking predator
Hide from the predator using camouflage
Intimidate the predator with displays of colour/impressiveness
Use its own evolved body armour (notably Ankylosaurus and Euoplocephalus)
Fight the predator off
Fly/swim away

Herbivores ate whatever vegetation they could find. Most herbivores were more suited to one particular type of vegetation, but some were not that fussy. Many herbivores, such as the sauropods, grew incredibly large because their diet of leaves and ferns required an enormous amount of digestion, and therefore required an exceedingly long intestine, which could only fit in large animals. Fossil collecting is not limited to museums. It is an extremely popular hobby. Fossils are artefacts of living creatures and plants. They are visually fascinating and many are absolutely beautiful. Educators find them extremely helpful, as they permit students to actually see the remains of a long-extinct species. When a student gets to actually hold an eight-inch tooth from a huge Megalodon shark, he or she will
never forget the experience. The same holds true with many other fossils. This poster shows and explains the fossils that are most widely available to private collectors. These include the well-known fish from Wyoming’s Green River Formation, the famous ferns from St. Clair,
Pennsylvania, the Chesapecten so abundant around the Chesapeake Bay, and the petrified wood of the American Southwest. It includes such favourites as trilobites and coprolite. The latter is petrified dinosaur dung. Kids love “dinosaur poo poo.” This poster presents photographs of outstanding specimens. All are accompanied by an illustration of the prehistoric species, except where appearance is unknown due to soft parts not fossilizing. In such cases, an illustration of a closely related modern species is presented. Interesting captions provide information and cite the geological period in which the species lived. A geological time chart puts everything in perspective.
